5 Wedding Venues in the Gers I Absolutely Love 🖤

If you’ve never heard of the Gers, imagine rolling hills, sunflower fields, charming villages, and that slow-living French vibe that makes every moment feel cinematic.
It’s the heart of Southwest France: peaceful, authentic, and full of character .
And one of my favorite regions for hosting destination weddings.

As a wedding planner, I’ve explored dozens of venues across the area. These five stand out not only for their beauty, but for the stories they help create.
Each has its own soul:  from art-filled weekends to laid-back countryside escapes.

So here they are: my top 5 favorite wedding venues in the Gers.

The One for Families: Domaine Le Castagné

Big, beautiful, and built for everyone!
This venue offers three different reception rooms, endless plan A/B/C options (trust me, you’ll love the flexibility), and enough accommodation for your entire guest list.
It’s just next to Auch: super convenient for hair & makeup artists, guests who’d rather sleep at a hotel, or even those who crave a Big Mac at 1 p.m. 🙃

If you’re dreaming of a wedding weekend where no one needs to stress about logistics : this is your spot.

The Arty One: Chateau Engalin

rachael & hiram

An art gallery turned wedding venue, and a full experience in itself.
Think of it as a 3-day creative escape: from the welcome lunch on Friday to the farewell breakfast on Monday morning, everything is handled by the venue’s incredible team.
The decor is poetic, the atmosphere electric. What makes Engalin truly unique is its chef’s table experience, where gastronomy meets artistry. Every meal feels curated, thoughtful, and deliciously intimate, as if you were dining in an artist’s home.

For design lovers, dreamers, and free spirits, Engalin is pure magic.

The Chill One: Puissentut

With its blend of rustic charm and quiet luxury, the owners have turned this place into a haven of peace.
As soon as you arrive, you’re wrapped in calm energy: a ceremony in the old chapel, dinner in the cozy converted salon, and dancing in the dedicated barn.

It’s soulful, intimate, and quietly spectacular: the perfect setting for couples who want an effortless celebration that feels real.

The Frenchy One: Domaine La Salle

A château with embroidered charm and timeless French elegance.
Every corner whispers romance à la française: stone walls, vintage details, and that warm countryside light that photographers dream of.

The indoor pool and the glass-roofed orangery are an absolute must, adding both style and versatility to your celebration.

It’s ideal for couples who love authenticity, history, and that effortlessly chic “French movie” feeling.

The Dramatic One: Château de Goudourville

Perched above the Garonne valley, this medieval castle feels like stepping into a French fairytale,  or the set of Game of Thrones. Think grand stone halls, candlelit dinners, and sweeping views that make you want to wear a velvet gown and toast under the stars. It’s not just elegant: it’s pure drama, the kind that turns your wedding into a story worth telling .

Why I Love the Gers for Destination Weddings

The Gers is still a hidden gem,  which makes it even more special.
You get all the beauty of the South of France without the crowds (or the clichés).
It’s a region that celebrates food, nature, and connection — three things I believe every wedding should be built around.

If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding that feels stylish, soulful, and deeply personal, the Gers might just steal your heart.
