I spent 15 of the best years of my life living in Paris. So, when I’m asked to plan a wedding there, how can I put it… I doubly jump at the chance! Even though weddings “in Paris” usually take place just outside of the city. Toulouse has never been closer to Paris (shoutout to Airbus), even though I love traveling by train and always prioritize this mode of transportation.
The Details at a Glance:
- The Vibe: Art Deco Vibe & French Chic
- The Venue: Château de Nainville-les-Roches (renovated by mindful, adorable, and incredibly attentive owners)
- The Format: A strict formal dress code for an intimate group (under 40 guests)
The Story & The Vibe
This destination wedding is exactly what I love: a handpicked guest list, a small group of fewer than 40 guests, and everyone dressed to the nines for the requested formal format. The newlyweds truly brought all the ingredients of pure chic!
On the agenda: a pink Cadillac for the bride’s grand entrance, a string trio (harp, violin, and cello), a very French caterer, a monochrome palette of pink flowers ranging from orchids to peonies and roses, and to top it all off, a powder explosion for the end-of-ceremony kiss.
My Role & Behind the Scenes with the Vendors
My role on this project was coordinating an incredible international team. I absolutely loved the vendors who traveled all the way from Saint Louis: 2 photographers and 2 videographers. People! Hire 2x togs and 2x videos every single time! It is absolute comfort! You stick to your timeline and you get every single shot!
Add to that the makeup and hair team who flew in from the UK…
My god, I would gladly work with each and every one of you again.111
