Geek Purple

The entire brief for this winter wedding is right there in the title. Geek, with a constellation of hidden references scattered throughout. Purple, with just the right amount of touches, never too much, always intentional. And of course, the whole vibe needed to be rock ’n’ roll. Naturally.

A Winter Wedding

Élodie is from Savoie, she loves the snow and she’s an extraordinary cook. David is a luxury piercer who enjoys good food paired with great wine. Both of them adore rock, metal, Hellfest, video games, and the whole Geek universe. After 15 years together, they chose to say “yes” on the anniversary of their first meeting, right in the heart of winter.

A GEEK Wedding

I absolutely love when my couples have strong, unapologetic tastes. Guiding them through their décor choices becomes child’s play, or at least, that’s the theory! In this case, it was mostly about removing items from the list.
But the keywords were non-negotiable: Original, offbeat, colorful, fun, vibrant.
And their guests? A dream. There’s nothing better than a wedding where everyone plays along.

Jewellery

David owns a luxury piercing and designer jewellery shop, Atlantis Piercing. So naturally, the wedding rings were going to be a major chapter in their story.

And oh, they delivered.

For him

A custom-designed ring set with six gemstones, referencing the six Infinity Stones from Thanos’ gauntlet:

  • Ruby

  • Emerald

  • Blue sapphire

  • Champagne sapphire

  • Orange sapphire

  • And of course… purple sapphire
All mounted on a rose-gold band with platinum settings.

For her

88 gemstones (yes, really, though the meaning behind the number remains their secret 😉):

  • Purple diamonds

  • Sapphire hues

  • Emerald

  • Topaz

  • Peridot

  • Aquamarine…

Fun fact: Élodie’s stones form a perfect gradient echoing the color palette of David’s ring.
Another fun fact: they changed the configuration of those 88 stones several times.

Nick—the insanely talented designer behind Body Vision Los Angeles and an ordained officiant in California, created their rings and officiated their ceremony… right in the middle of the French Alps.
